“Palenque” Oceanside Casita

We've visited Isla Mujeres a few times, and this has been our favorite place to stay. It's perfectly located—close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, yet far enough from the busy center to feel relaxed. The beach is just a short stroll away, and there's a golf cart rental right next door. The ferry is also conveniently less than a five-minute walk. We only rented a golf cart for one day to explore the far end of the island. The room was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed—beach towels, coffee, drinking water, dishes, utensils, toiletries, and more. We'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had a perfect stay at Villas San Miguel and our unit (Palenque). Check in was easy and smooth and the unit was just as described. We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean every morning! We also loved how there was a parking lot on the property for our golf cart (that we rented with their help), that the villas had 2 pools, had purified water for us in the unit, and the comfy bed. The location was perfect, and we would absolutely stay here again!

This is our 3rd time staying at Villas San Miguel and it’s been perfect each time. The unit was spacious, clean, well stocked, and you just absolutely cannot beat the location. Thank you Keith!

This is my 3rd visit to Villas San Miguel, I love Casita Palenque. The view and the sound of the sea it's therapeutic. This place is super clean and quiet. Thanks Mr. Keith

Wonderful casita located within walking distance to everything. This was our second stay at Villas San Miguel and we’re already looking to book again! The staff is so kind and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The casita is clean and has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. The showers are the best we’ve experienced in a rental. We love this property and always look to stay here if there’s availability!

We stayed at the Palenque room Friday through Tuesday. Check in was easy and we were greeted upon arrival to the hotel. The room was clean, and we felt safe while staying here. The staff was always attentive and helped with any questions. The view was spectacular from our room. Walking distance to places to grab a bite to eat and close to all shopping areas. 10/10 recommend if you’re having trouble deciding where to stay. Also close enough to walk to/ from the ferry.

This property was beautifully decorated, the views were gorgeous, and it's a short walk to everything! Highly recommend

Location was great and quiet. Close to the local grocery store. We rented a golf cart for four days and explored the island. Short walk to the beach. Accommodations were clean and kept up. Will be back!

I have stayed at Keith’s place 3xs now and will come back. It is clean, comfortable, excellent AC and you can’t beat the ocean views. We he locations is close to everything, but tucked away for quiet and privacy. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have an excellent stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is close by. You can walk from the ferry very easily. The grocery store is steps away. The beaches are just a couple of blocks away. We loved the square in front where the local kids play in the evening.

We loved this casita especially the roaring of the waves as they crashed on the shore. Our favorite part was sitting on the patio each evening to watch the ships go by, listen to the waves and watch the people stroll by on the Malecon.

We loved our casita Palenque. Beautiful balcony view of the Caribbean. The property was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and the A/C kept the casita cool which was welcomed in the August heat and humidity. I would stay again here in a heartbeat. We loved having so many restaurants and the beach within walking distance. Getting to and from the ferry was a short 3 minute walk. Had no problem finding the place using directions property manager provided. We spent time in both pools. It was a perfect stay for me and my 12 yo son.

After the long exhausting day of travel, walking into the Palenque casita was a joyous and relieving experience. It was a clean comfortable room that looked just as it was advertised. The staff was great. The room was kept clean with visits from the cleaning crew every other day, who would leave the loveliest towel origami I've ever seen. We had the promenade and Caribbean Sea waves right out our bedroom window every night. We couldn't have had a lovelier experience. We should know, as attendees of our friends' destination wedding, we got a chance to see and hear about some of the other guests' hotel experiences, and it broke my heart butt affirmed we made the best choice in booking here. You will not be disappointed. If we ever make our way back to Isla Mujeres, we will definitely be staying at Villas San Miguel.

I had always heard about staying at Villas San Miguel on Isla Mujeres from friends, how much fun the island is, that everything is reasonably priced and the people are so friendly. All of this, I found, is 100% true. We stayed in "Palenque" and Abdiel took care of making sure everything was very accommodating for us from the time we arrived to assuring our safety of our room to making sure we had enough fuel in our cart to scheduling an in-house covid test for our return home. This villa is situated in the center of everything, walking distance to the ferry and restaurants (too many to experience in only 1 week), and close to the market to buy groceries, if needed. I believe any of the villas would be great to stay in and both pools were crystal clean also. I give this villa a 5-star review and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet adult-cation to stay here.

Everything about our stay at this property was perfectly amazing. My boyfriend and I couldn't stop saying how it was the perfect place for us and how excited we are to have found it! The staff were all super helpful, friendly and a joy to talk with. The room itself was heaven with its ocean view, patio, and kitchenette. We had more than enough clean water to drink and loved both pools. I almost don't want to review this place as I might not get another chance to visit! Haha

A beautiful place right on the beach. All walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, supermarket. All the people working here are very accommodating and wonderful. We stayed here in different units over two months. All units are very well stocked with everything you need. It is a home away from home. Both the owner and the manager are very responsive and helpful if you need anything. The island itself is a paradise. San Miguel Villas is our home on this island

Wir waren schon zum 2. mal in den Villas San Miguel. Diesmal in einer 'Casita' im EG mit Blick auf den Malecon. Die Casita ist anders geschnitten als die Units im anderen Block, wo man 2 abgeschlossene Zimmer hat. Anfangs fühlten wir uns nachts ein wenig unsicher, denn vom Malecon aus kann jeder einfach auf den Balkon steigen. Aber irgendwie ist Isla Mujeres auch so familär, dass man eher alles entspannt sieht. Was uns wieder komplett überzeugt hat, ist die gepflegte Ausstattung, die großzügigen Räume (auch das Bad), das gute Licht (vor allem im Bad), die Überversorgung mit Handtüchern, der Maid Service alle 2 Tage, der fürsorgliche Herr Abdiel an der Rezeption, das Meeresrauschen und natürlich: die Lage gleich neben der Kirche. Das Schuttfeld südlich direkt neben den Villas San Miguel ist zwar fast verschwunden, aber vom Balkon unserer Casita schaut man immer noch auf eine Ecke davon. Für den Iguana Pedro ist das eine Gelegenheit, seinen Schuttberg zu verlassen und am Frühstückstisch Mango-Schalen zu erbetteln.

We stayed in Palenque, right on the ocean. It was SO easy to find the Villas. They're straight up the street from the ferry, and you're at the other side of the island! (About 4 blocks.) You can easily walk to everything in Centro from here. And that ocean breeze is delightful! Everything was clean, safe, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

It's always a great stay when we are at Villas San Miguel. We appreciate all that Abdiel and the rest of the staff do to make our vacation time in Isla so wonderful. We will be back!
